Jenga Readies for her Forever Home

It has been a little over three months since we took Jenga into foster care and she grown in leaps and bounds considering she never lived in a home or had much human or canine contact other than raising puppies.
What we found once she started to relax and settle in is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl whose mission is to stay close and love her human companions.

Oh, and we forgot to mention that we think she was used as a breeding machine since she is a rare colour for a Doberman, called an "Isabelle", until they dumped her at the pound in Georgia, and she is between 4 1/2 and 5 years old.

She is now fully housebroken and eager to learn whatever we want to teach her. Her first experiences in Rock Creek Park opened an amazing new world to her and now she loves nothing better than running (boy is she fast!) and returning to a nice warm home.

Jenga has been acting as our AmbassaDog at our store on Sundays and during special events, and she is terrific with all the people, BOTH big and small who come in.

We also have found that she likes to groom kitties, so she would be perfect in a household with cats and she is kind and gentle with kids. I would say she will be best as an only dog since she has had a tough time up to now, and while she is learning to play with other canines well, she still gets very excited.

She is curious and her biggest vice is an addiction to soft fuzzy toys that squeak. If you are interested in her please contact us via The Big Bad Woof (202) 595-1988 or contact Washington Animal Rescue League at (202) 726-2556.

I know she will make a wonderful companion and we want her to have the best! She has a great heart!
