Wooftales is a collaborative project sponsored by The Big Bad Woof in Washington DC. We are honored to have a number of our friends and colleagues who have agreed to participate in this project.
Molly Cheatum, (aka greenpaws) works with Defenders of Wildlife, and is passionate about our environment and green living. She also is the producer of The Big Bad Woof’s monthly newsletter on green living tips and news, and helps the company with communications. She is located in Washington DC.
Jacqueline C. Hill, spent 15 years as a practicing veterinary technician she was trained in many of the holistic/alternative modalities with an emphasis in nutrition. She is a member of The Weston A. Price Organization, The Organic Consumer Association, and The Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund. She has been a raw pet food feeder for 20+ years, and is now the Vice-President of Operations and Product Development for Answers Pet Food. Jackie lives in Pennsylvania.
Barbara Hobbs, (aka Saki) is a philosopher and artist representative who travels extensively and volunteers in the animal welfare arena, specifically with marine mammals at this time. She is also a consultant with The Big Bad Woof in Retail Management and Merchandising. She is currently living in Miami Springs, FL.
Pennye Jones-Napier, (aka smalltiger) is the co-owner of The Big Bad Woof and of BBWoof Inc. The mission of the store and franchise company is to provide access to Good Food, Supporting Local Economies, Supporting Local Farms, and providing access to knowledge on good health, nutrition, and animal welfare for both people and their companions. She is dedicated to these ideologies and has asked others to contribute and share their knowledge in these pages.
Bodil P. Meleney, RH(AHG), CH, RPP, (aka Bodil Meleney) is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, (TCM) and Qi Therapy. With her background as a Registered Nurse she has decades of experience in the health field. Bodil uses diet/nutrition, herbal therapies, energy based bodywork, supplements, exercise, dialog and education as well as adjunct therapies; flower essences and homeopathy. She is a consulting herbalist for The Big Bad Woof, head practitioner of Midnight Sun Herbal Health located in Takoma Park, MD.
Julie Paez, (aka Pooka) is the co-owner of The Big Bad Woof and of BBWoof Inc. Pamela Black Townsend, (aka PBTownsend) is a writer and photographer in College Park, MD who is very active with foster care and communications at the Prince George’s County SPCA. She is currently the principal of Digital Doggy Photography and is the author of the PGSPCA Newsletter.
